I was asked to produce work to support a film proposal; various images, posters, etc.
After six weeks’ research, here is what I came up with. The film would be based on the French Resistance fighter Simone Segouin, also known by her nom de guerre Nicole Minet.
The research proved interesting from looking into the correct ammunition used and images of Nicole herself, to small details of profound symbolism. Symbolism with stark contrast, such as a bullet alighted by a butterfly or a bullet hole turning into a poppy. I just love the journey art can take me on, to the most unexpected places.
